Covid-19 cases at Alphamega Acropolis and Limassol confectionery

Covid-19 cases have been confirmed at the Alphamega supermarket in Acropolis, in Nicosia, namely at the bakery and cafeteria areas.

They were announced by the Health Ministry at noon, in the framework of urgent legislation to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

As a matter of public health, said the relevant ministry announcement, Covid-19 cases have been confirmed at the Alphamega bakery and cafeteria at Acropolis.

The Epidemiological Monitoring Unit was notified that the positive cases and close contacts have been taken off duty. The area has been disinfected. The supermarket cafeteria will remain closed, while management informed the unit that the bakery will operate without personnel, only providing packaged products.

One individual has also been found positive at the production unit of Panikkos Miltiadous Confectionary Ltd, in Limassol. The individual and their close contacts have been taken off duty and the area disinfected.
