Relevant News

The COVID-19 vaccination portal is open between 0800 and 2000 hours, on Friday, in Cyprus for people aged 59 and 60, with a total of 15,020 available appointments, the Ministry of Health has said. Up to April 7, 174,626 vaccine doses have been administered, 124,165 people have received the first dose of the vaccine and 50,461 people both doses.

So far 9,788 belonging to vulnerable groups of the population have received the first dose of the vaccine, the Ministry of Health said in press release on Thursday evening.

Referring to the COVID-19 vaccination portal, the Ministry says that it will be open today between 0800 and 2000 hours local time only for people aged 59 and 60 adding that a total of 15.020 appointments will be available.

This was decided in cooperation with the Deputy Ministry on Research, Innovation and Digital Policy to overcome technical problems which occurred earlier this week when the portal was inundated with requests for appointments and was overloaded.

People aged 61 and over will not have access to the portal on Friday but will be given the opportunity to make an appointment on Saturday, the press release says, adding that more details will be announced later today.
