Covid-19 tests at Polis Chrysochous

Relevant News

Sample taking gets underway in Polis Chrysochous today where about 130 residents will undergo tests for coronavirus as part of a programme partly subsidised by the municipality.

Mayor Yiotis Papachristofi told the Cyprus News Agency said sample taking will start at 9 am and continue until 3 pm at the town hall.

Those being tested will pay €55 each and the remainder of the cost will be covered by the municipality.

The mayor urged other communities in the area as well as businesses in operation to participate in the tracing programme so as to contain the spread of coronavirus.

Meanwhile, a health care professional at Polis Chrysochous Hospital has shown symptoms of coronavirus and tracing of the individual’s contacts has started. This is the second case at the hospital, CNA reported.
