Police issued a warning on Thursday advising citizens to be particularly cautious if they receive a phone call saying they have been chosen for a free home disinfection.
The announcement says that such services are normally performed by local authorities in public areas, not inside homes.
In case they receive such a phone call, the public is urged to contact the police immediately via the Citizens line 1460 or their nearest police station providing as much information as possible on the incident.
