Coronavirus: Provision of services to public by the Asylum Service

The Asylum Service is monitoring developments regarding the spread of coronavirus and has as its primary concern the health of the employees and the public, following the instructions issued by the competent authorities.

Following the latest announcements by the Government, the Asylum Service announces the following measures:

  • The public is requested to visit the Asylum Service only when absolutely necessary. All scheduled interviews are postponed until further notice.
  • In the event that they require any information without having to physically present themselves at the offices of the Asylum Service, they are requested to use the following telephone numbers: 22445245, 22445265 or 22451756.
  • If they present any symptoms of COVID-19, they are requested to avoid presenting themselves at the offices of the Asylum Service and to follow the planned actions as set out by the instructions issued by the Ministry of Health.

The Asylum Service is doing everything possible to manage this unprecedented situation and we are kindly asking the public to show understanding for any possible inconvenience caused, due to the emergency measures and the consequent absences of a large number of staff members.
