President Nicos Anastasiades has cancelled his official visit to Austria because of the latest developments regarding the coronavirus, the Presidency of the Republic has announced.
Two Cypriots yesterday tested positive for the virus and the Health Ministry has activated protocols and suspended services at Nicosia General Hospital where one of the confirmed cases worked in an effort to contain the outbreak.
Anastasiades was due to fly to Vienna early this afternoon for an official visit at the invitation of the Austrian president Alexander Van der Bellen.
The announcement came as the president chaired a meeting of the Council of Ministers on a number of issues, including coronavirus.
