Only people who have secured permission to leave the house will be allowed on public transport, the Transport Ministry has clarified.
In an announcement, it said that following the decree with new measures, Public Transport Companies which have the exclusive right to carry passengers in their geographical area, will not accept any passengers who do not possess evidence, either in hard copy or electronic form (as these are issued by the competent authorities of the Republic of Cyprus), allowing them to be transferred outside their home.
The above measures have immediate effect until their withdrawal from the Minister of Transport, Communications and Works, the announcement added.
