A nurse and two patients at Paphos Hospital are among the nine new cases of Covid-19 announced today, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
It said that a doctor at a private Paphos clinic whose wife, a Paphos hospital nurse who had tested positive earlier, was also among the nine.
Today’s results means 13 Paphos Hospital’s health professionals have tested positive, having contracted the virus from a 65 year old British patient who had received family visitors. Three patients and a member of the cleaning staff also tested positive.
Paphos Hospital remains closed as samples continue to be taken from medical professionals and other staff as well as members of the families of the confirmed cases.
A total of 460 staff and 100 patients have been tested so far with another 220 to be taken in the next few days.
