The Labour Ministry said on Thursday that unemployed wishing to renew their registration need not go to the local labour offices and district social insurance offices as these will be renewed automatically and their rights will not be affected.
This also applies to asylum seekers.
The move aims to prevent the mass congregation of people.
The ministry said that the procedures for new registrations of unemployed, termination of registrations as well as unemployed who intend to seek work in another EU member state, the EEA and Switzerland remains unchanged. This means interested parties must go in person to district offices of the department of social insurance.
Those wishing to declare the start or end of their unemployment or the transfer of their unemployment benefit must also go to the district offices.
Social insurance benefits will be paid without the public needing to go to district offices to submit the necessary certificates, it said.
The rights of recipients of public benefits and asylum seekers will not be affected in anyway, it stressed.
