The government is working on a new package of support measures to boost liquidity and support business which will be sent to the House of Representatives next week, Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides said on Thursday.
Speaking after a meeting at the Presidential Palace with political party leaders, Petrides said that the package will incorporate proposals made by parties to address the fallout from the Covid-19 epidemic, which he thanked for their support.
Government spokesman Kyriakos Koushos described the meeting as ‘particularly productive’. He said that all the proposals — both by the government and the parties — will be codified and sent to the House of Representatives which will hold a special session on Tuesday or Wednesday to approve them.
