The Famagusta Hospital, the referral hospital for Covid-19, will be taking samples via drive-through from people presenting symptoms and had previously reported them through their personal doctor, the Health Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Christina Yiannaki told the CyBC.
The measure is among those recently taken by the Health Ministry for prevention against Covid-19.
According to Yiannaki, after an appointment is made following the procedure announced by the Ministry of Health, the suspect case would access the hospital’s basement in their car and a nurse would then take a sample for testing without the individual ever leaving their vehicle.
