The Health Ministry announced on Saturday that another nine patients have tested positive for coronavirus, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 84.
According to the update from the Ministry of Health:
- one is a health professional at Paphos Hospital (a nurse)
- three are from contacts with confirmed cases
- four have a travel history (had returned from UK, Poland and Spain) and contacted 1420 when they presented symptoms
- one works at an airline and presented symptoms
13 patients are currently being treated at Famagusta hospital, the referral hospital for Covid-19. Another three are intubated at the Limassol hospital ICU in a stable condition and one is being treated at Nicosia hospital.
Three patients have been discharged.
