The Animal Party Cyprus said in an announcement on Wednesday that there is a serious food shortage problem for animals housed in shelters or with volunteers, and calls on anyone who wishes to donate pet food for dogs and cats or volunteer in any way to reach out to them urgently.
The new announcement comes after the party raised the alarm on Tuesday that Coronavirus measures led to the closure of many restaurants that were the source of food for many strays, and called on the public to place food and water in public spaces to feed hungry animals.
Anyone wishing to volunteer is urged to declare their interest by calling 70078080, or send a message to [email protected] or via Facebook.
“Animals have no-one else but us,” the announcement concluded.
