Thirteen new confirmed Coronavirus cases were announced by the Ministry of Health on Monday night, followed by one new case confirmed in the occupied areas, raising the total island-wide to 53.
The Cyprus High Commission in London has set up two new hotlines for Cypriots stranded in the UK following the government’s latest travel restrictions in effect from March 16, 18:00 Cyprus time up to and including April 30.

Meanwhile, two army camps in Nicosia are in lockdown and the Defence Minister was suspected of and tested negative to Coronavirus, and the Church is divided following the Archbishop’s call on the faithful on Monday to not go to church until April 10.
Police checks to ensure compliance with the government’s rules are ongoing, with 700 checks conducted and seven businesses booked in the last 24 hours for breaking the law.
