Declarations of interest by doctors to support the state’s efforts to combat the Covid-19 pandemic had reached 128 by 11 am on Thursday morning, the CNA reports.
In its announcement, the Cyprus Medical Association said it has already received the required forms from medical professionals who are now at the state’s disposal to man public health centres in their respective fields wherever they are needed.
It also said that it expects state medical authorities to provide a safe working environment for all medical staff, protecting them from any threat pertaining to the spread of Covid-19.
It was mentioned that even though a deadline has been put in place for declarations of interest, applications by doctors will also be accepted beyond the deadline.
It finally urged the medical community anew to respond to the state’s call to tackle the developing pandemic.
