The Department of Labor Inspection of the Labor Ministry proceeded with convictions and fines for violations of the Safety and Health at Work legislation.
According to a relevant announcement, the Department proceeded with the prosecution of “DEPCON CONSTRUCTION LTD” and of “SOTERIS NETIATIS & SONS LTD” companies, imposing 3,000 euros fine on each one of them for violation of the Safety and Health at Work legislation due to the lack of sufficient and proper measures that endangered people at work.
Specifically, the two companies were fined after walls collapsed in their workplaces due to not implementing the required safety measures.
Furthermore, the Court convicted a person involved in one of the companies to a fine of 2,500 euros because he did not make sure the proper measures were taken.
