Construction work at Paralimni Marina intensive and “ahead of schedule”

Relevant News

Construction work at Paralimni Marina, an ambitious 300-berth project, is intensive with the first stage being all about shoreline reclamation and breakwater foundations, Philenews reported on Tuesday.

The project’s owner, PMV Maritime Holdings (PMV), wants the first phase to be completed by end of 2023 and the marina to be in full operation by the summer of 2024.

Anthoulis Kountouris of PMV Maritime Holdings said “we are currently ahead of our construction schedule.”

And that construction on site commenced with the preparation of the concrete batching and casting yard, necessary to cast and cure approximately 4,500 breakwater armour units and 750 precast quay wall blocks.

The shoreline reclamation and breakwater foundations are among the first work packages, he also said.

Early installation of the 450m outer breakwater will create a sheltered waterfront environment at the project site, allowing quayside and promenade construction to get underway.
