CNA: Two travel agencies for stranded Cobalt passengers

Two travel agencies are expected to be assigned the repatriation of passengers who have been stranded after Cobalt suspended operations at midnight, the Cyprus News Agency said on Thursday.

It said that a meeting is underway at the Transport Ministry with the participation of Civil Aviation, the accountant general’s office, card clearance company JCC, Cobalt and the two travel agencies.

CNA said the two are Top Kinisis Travel and Orthodoxou Travel.

It said that the Ministry has been bombarded by phone calls from Cypriots and non-Cypriots who had bought tickets to travel with Cobalt.

The ministry said that an announcement will be issued by noon informing passengers on developments. Priority is being given to stranded passengers, it added.
