The Paphos District Court remanded in five days custody on Friday a 31-year-old man who was arrested last night in connection with a case of premeditated murder of a 20-year-old man from Syria committed on April 10 in Chlorakas.
Another eight people, all Syrian nationals aged from 19 to 24, were arrested and remanded in eight days custody on Monday while police are also searching for another two aged 22 and 25 from Syria against whom an arrest warrant was issued.
According to police, during a row on the Chlorakas-Kato Paphos road a person was seriously injured, possibly with a knife, and abandoned.
Police were alerted to the incident but could not find the victim but the body was found the next day hidden in a river bed.
