Changes to SafePass affect schools

Due to the recent changes to the SafePass application regarding vaccinated citizens, the Health Ministry is asking school to proceed with updating of the relevant data and inform the Ministry accordingly.

The said data refers to vaccinated teachers and students (fully vaccinated or only with the one dose of the vaccine against Covid-19). According to the relevant memo received in schools the procedure must be completed by tomorrow, 20 October.

The memo included the decision of the Health Ministry according to which the SafePass is only issued to those citizens who have completed their vaccination, meaning both doses of the vaccine or the vaccine of Janseen which is only one dose.

According to data of the Health Ministry, approximately 11,000 people have had only the first dose of the vaccine and have not proceeded with the second one when they should have done so.
