Volunteers from the Committee Against Bird Slaughter (CABS) found and saved a hawfinch earlier today from certain death, as it was hanging upside down from a limestick.
The hawfinch is a winter visitor in Cyprus and it is unmistakable from its’ beak.
The latest sighting of a hawfinch had been recorded on February 4 at the Akrotiri Marsh by BirdLife Cyprus.
