Τhe Cabinet is expected to announce measures on Wednesday to support citizens who were affected by the devastating fires that broke out Saturday in the districts of Larnaka and Limassol.
President Nicos Anastasiades instructed the competent Ministers to table suggestions and final decisions will be announced today. He underlined that the government will support all those affected. The Minister of Agriculture visited the villages in the two districts and had a meeting with the Minister of Interior and the local authorities to discuss the situation.
The Cabinet most probably will also discuss the continuous rise in Covid cases as the positivity rate stands now at 1,99%. Yesterday the authorities announced 827 new cases and 89 hospitalizations.
