An accident occurred this morning at Nicosia’s Solomon Square, fortunately without any victims. A bus of the Nicosia Public Transport moved forward by itself hitting another bus of Intercity that was parked a few meters in front of it.
According to information by Phileleftheros, even though an additional immobilizer had been install in the Nicosia Public Transport bus following several similar accidents and the death of one bus driver, this system is deactivated when the general switch of the bus is activated and the door is closed.
