Hours after discovering 28 kilos of cannabis in the sea off Peyia, Paphos police found a small quantity of cocaine hidden in a field, again in Peyia.
Philenews said that a 41 year old Briton, permanent resident of Cyprus, who had been under surveillance was arrested after he was spotted by the narcotics squad at the site. It said the suspect was seen digging up a small hole in the field and removing a container which contained 18 grams of cocaine.
Police then searched his house where they found a small quantity of cannabis and 4470 euro and 290 pound sterling in cash.
Police investigations continue.
