A Briton was arrested on arrival at Larnaca Airport late on Sunday night after assaulting a police officer and causing a disturbance.
Police said that at around 11 pm last night, a 25 year old Briton realised on arrival at Larnaca Airport that he had lost his passport.
He was accompanied to the immigration office pending a search for his passport, but he tried to leave, at one point pushing a policeman who was unhurt.
He was arrested and is expected to appear before Larnaca District Court today for a remand order on suspicion of assaulting a police officer, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest.
