Bomb at CYTA branch linked with 5G network objections

Relevant News

A bomb explosion targeting a Cyprus Telecommunications Authority branch in Agia Fyla, Limassol, took place late on Sunday.

Police said the explosion, which caused damage to the entrance of the branch, appears to be linked with the controversial 5G broadband networks.

Graffiti on the walls of the building said “No to 5G” and “There is Resistance Against 5G”.

According to EU directives, Cyprus must issue 5G broadband licenses by the end of the year and CyTA is one of the bidders.

Concerns over health risks connected with the 5G systems have been expressed worldwide, including in Cyprus with objectors arguing that radiation from antennas can cause cancer.
