The body of a middle-aged woman found dead on Tuesday afternoon in an uninhabited up-for-sale house in the heart of Nicosia is believed to be that of a homeless Romanian.
Police, who are looking for two suspects, consider murder behind the case since the woman’s head had been bashed, according to Philenews.
The house where the body was found in one of the bedrooms covered with a bed sheet is situated on Athos Street, off Kennedy Avenue.
It is believed that the woman had found shelter there along with her husband and another person.
A post mortem examination which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday will shed more light on the exact cause of her death.
Also possible is that the person who killed her, then covered the body with a sheet and fled the scene.
