A 40 day old baby admitted to Makarios Hospital in Nicosia with fever has tested negative for coronavirus, the head of pediatrics Dr Avraam Elia said on Friday.
The baby will be moved from the special ward to the children’s ward.
When it presented symptom, doctors decided to test the baby for Covid-19 as its parents who serve with the UN had recently travelled to Israel.
Meanwhile, a three month old boy who tested positive two days ago and has been in hospital for three days was discharged today with instructions given to the family.
The infant’s condition was very good throughout and instructions have been given to the family.
