A man was injured around 1 pm today in Ayia Napa when he was crushed by a car he was repairing with a friend.
Under circumstances being investigated, the lifting jack gave way while the man was beneath the car, which fell on him as a result, injuring him in the sternum.
Members of the police sped to the scene and the man was taken to Famagusta Hospital, where he is being examined by doctors.
