As of Monday, use of CovScan Cyprus application for SafePass checks is mandatory

Relevant News

As of Monday, the use of the CovScan Cyprus application for SafePass checks throughout the island becomes mandatory following last week’s Cabinet decision.

The application quickly and securely certifies the validity of the European Digital Certificate (EUDCC) for SafePass purposes.

The European Digital Certificate can be downloaded through the website https://www.eudcc.gov.cy/ and can be presented in digital form on a mobile phone (smartphone) or in printed form. The only provision is that the QR code is displayed on it.

Vaccinated individuals and those who have recovered from COVID will only need to upload their information once to receive their EUDCC.

However, individuals who have not been vaccinated or have not completed their vaccination and need to be tested regularly will need to upload the test results to receive their certificate on a regular basis, each time a new test is performed.

Exempted from the issuing of the new certificate is anyone under 18 and over 65 as well as visitors to the island. The European health pass is valid in these cases.
