A 47 year old army officer is again under arrest after his DNA was linked to explosives discovered in a Limassol flat 12 years ago.
The man had earlier on Wednesday been released by the Nicosia Military Court where he has been charged following the discovery of a revolver and explosives hidden in an army camp shower.
The suspect is expected to appear in court on Thursday for a remand.
Police said that in 2006, a drug raid had led to arrest of two individuals and the discovery of explosives, 1.2 kilos of cocaine and 6.4 kilos of cannabis.
Two men — a 31 year old and a 50 year old — were jailed for 12 years in 2007 in connection with that case.
