Average rainfall for April 1 to 16 is already at 81% of average for the entire month according to provisional figures released by the met office on Tuesday.
Kellaki was the wettest with 204% of average rainfall for the month, followed by Pano Panayia with 153% of the average.
The met office said that the average total rainfall from April 1 to 16 was 24.1 mm. The average for the entire month is 29.9 mm. The average total rainfall in the past 24 hours was 0.8 mm.
Kellaki received the most rainfall with 65 mm which corresponds to 204% of the average for the area. Pano Panayia recorded 73.4 mm of rain or 153% of the average, Limassol port 26.4 mm which corresponds to 132% of the average and Athalassa in Nicosia 25.7 mm or 117% of the average.
The least rain fell in Frenaros with only 0.8 mm or 6% of the average for the month, followed by Kornos with 5 mm or 19% of the average and Xylotymbou with 5.6 mm or 31% of the average for the month of April.
