Since last March, appeals that have been approved and will be re-examined for possible participation in the Estia Scheme, providing vulnerable borrowers with a unique opportunity to reset their financial obligations with the bank, increased to 881 from 543.
At the same time, approved applications for participation in the scheme have also increased reaching 1,049, while the percentage of the complete applications that have been submitted and have not been rejected reached 45%.
In a statement, Marios Savvides, head of the Estia Scheme at the Labor Ministry, said that the examination of appeals has now been completed and what remains is a letter to the 304 applicants for the outcome. He also noted that applicants are also entitled to a second appeal.
