According to O Phileleftheros information, during the weekend the new system had been checked and tested until late last night so that it would be ready for use today. In case a huge problem arises, this will be done tomorrow or anyway before the end of the week.
The target is that the public gets access to the system as of today by visiting the website of the Social Insurance Services.
In this way, officials hope that delays currently seen in the payment of the sick leave will be eradicated.
The Labor Ministry wants the digitization to continue for other allowances as well, like the unemployment payment, pension, maternity and so forth.
