It will be another blistering hot day today, with temperatures well above the seasonal average as a hot and dry air massĀ continues to affect the area.
Compounding the discomfort is dust in the atmosphere which yesterday prompted the Labour Ministry to issue a warning.
An extreme high temperature warning is in force until 5 pm today, with the Met Office forecasting the high temperatures will continue inland until Wednesday.
Temperatures today are forecast to rise to around 41 C inland, around 38 C on the south and east coasts, around 37 C on the remaining coasts and around 32 C in the mountains.
Tonight will be fine and warm with temperatures of 26 C inland, on the west, south and east coasts and 22 C on the north coast and mountains.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday will remain fine and warm. Temperatures inland and in the mountains are expected to remain at the same levels until Wednesday.
On the coasts, temperatures will remain at the same levels on Monday, edging down after that but remaining noticeably higher than the seasonal average.
