Airline tickets to Greece less than €100 return over August 15 week

Relevant News

The Covid-19 pandemic has paved the way for Cypriots to travel to Greece over the holiday week of August 15 with record low prices of less than €100 return, Philenews reported on Monday.

But the special offer is probably not going to be taken considering that Greece is currently recording alarmingly rising numbers of the novel virus cases.

Greece reported 203 new cases of COVID 19 on Sunday, its highest daily tally since the start of the outbreak in the country.

“Nothing reminds of last summer when the airline tickets to Athens or Salonika or a Greek island were astronomical…Covid-19 has forced airlines to drop prices to the ground,” Philenews also wrote after carrying out a price survey.

The latest development comes at no surprise considering that, as of August 6, the Ministry of Health moved Greece from category A to category B country on its coronavirus green list so as to ensure public health.

This means that passengers from Greece are required to have undergone a laboratory test 72 hours prior to departure at the latest and to also hold a Certificate proving a negative PCR test for the virus.

All passengers are also required to apply for the CyprusFlightPass within 24 hours before the departure of their flight.
