Cyprus is now ready to formulate a specific Action Plan that meets the ambitious goals of the Mediterranean country for the transition to the new space age.
This is what George Komodromos of the Department of Electronic Communications of the Deputy Ministry of Research, Innovation and Digital Policy has told Philenews.
The formulation follows a recent workshop in Nicosia focusing on “Enhancing the Cypriot Space Ecosystem – The way forward”.
“Space has become an integral part of our daily lives. Citizens are increasingly relying on space technologies when using their mobile phones, watching TV, traveling, receiving weather forecasts and when their safety is in danger,” Philenews reports.
“This ever-evolving space sector, with its corresponding public and private investments, promises to help mankind solve some of the biggest challenges they will be confronted with in coming decades.”
