80 year old suspected Covid-19 case, dies at Paphos General

An 80 year old woman being treated as a suspected Covid-19 case at the Paphos General Hospital died in the early hours of Sunday, according to CNA sources.

She was suffering from acute respiratory infection and other complications and was being treated in the suspected cases ward pending the outcome of tests.

A 94 year old woman was admitted to the ward today, with fever and exhaustion.

According to the CNA report, a 49 year old with suspected Covid-19 symptoms had a CAT scan early in the afternoon and was to be admitted either in the suspect case ward or the Paphos ICU.

An 85 year old woman is being treated in the hospital’s ICU with acute respiratory infection and has been intubated.

She underwent a Covid-19 test and results are pending.
