A 72-year-old man on a family holiday collapsed on a beach at Polis Chrysochous around noon on Sunday.
Michalakis Kouris was at the municipal beach in Polis when he suddenly lost consciousness. Bystanders administered first aid and he was taken to ambulance, where doctors pronounced him dead.
A post mortem will take place to determine the cause of death.
According to sources, the 72-year-old faced several health issues.Â
