70 booked for breaking stay at home decree overnight

Relevant News

Police booked 70 drivers and pedestrians overnight after carrying out 4499 checks on compliance with the stay at home decree.

Checks were carried out between 6 pm on Tuesday to 6 am on Wednesday as follows:

Nicosia: 1396 checks, 15 booked.

Limassol: 716 checks, 12 booked

Larnaca: 548 checks, 16 booked

Paphos: 1087 checks, 18 booked

Famagusta: 263 checks, 6 booked

Morphou: 80 checks, none booked

Police HQ traffic unit: 372 checks, 3 booked

MMAD: 37 checks, none booked

During the same 12 hours, 756 premises were checked and none were booked.

Nicosia 227 checks, Limassol 17 checks, Larnaca 129 checks, Paphos 223 checks, Famagusta 113 checks and Morphou 47 checks.
