Police booked 65 drivers and pedestrians overnight for breaking the lockdown, with Limassol again recording the highest number of violations.
A total of 3600 checks were carried out between 6 pm on Thursday and 6 am on Friday.

Limassol: 1188 checks, 35 booked
Larnaca: 447 checks, six booked
Paphos: 108 checks, one booked
Famagusta: 175 checks, two booked
Morphou: 167 checks, none booked.
Police HQ traffic unit: 211 checks, six booked
MMAD: 41 checks, none booked
In addition, 826 checks were held on premises and eight violations of the decrees to contain the spread of coronavirus were reported.
