Members of the Traffic Police yesterday stopped a car at the Nicosia-Limassol highway for a check.
The 50-year-old driver was given a preliminary breathalyzer test which indicated 139 miligrams of alcohol in his blood, instead of the allowed limit of 22 miligrams.
The man is expected to appear before the Larnaca District court tomorrow.
