Police said that they had checked 279 vehicles with 290 passengers as part of stepped up checks last night and reported 373 offences for various traffic offences.
They did not give a breakdown.
But they said that in Paphos three vehicles and one motorbike were impounded.
Police said that organised police operations were underway as part of efforts to prevent and combat crime and bolster a sense of safety among the public.
They added that there had been police patrols outside of bakeries and jewellery and other shops as well as various neighbourhoods in order to avert burglaries and thefts.
Checks were also carried out at various premises regarding compliance with decrees to contain the spread of coronavirus.
Police added that checks will continue.
