Authorities found 37 refugees, 35 adults and two children, in Kato Pyrgos, Nicosia shortly after midnight on Sunday.
It is believed that they first arrived to the occupied north and then crossed the buffer zone near Limnitis.
They walked to cross into Kato Pyrgos where they were picked up and brought to Polis police station.
They are due to be transferred to Kokkinotrimithia temporary accommodation centre.
