A total of 31 patients are being treated for Covid-19 at Famagusta General Hospital which is the referral hospital for coronavirus, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
This follows the admission of five patients on Tuesday. One patient was discharged.
Five patients are in the increased care unit because they require closer monitoring. Their condition is described as good.
Since March 11, a total of 62 patients have been admitted and 27 discharged while six were transferred to the ICUs of other hospitals.
Two of the eight deaths recorded in Cyprus were patients of the referral hospital.
Meanwhile, the hospital has been boosted with nine doctors from the private sector and 15 nurses from Larnaca General Hospital.
