There are currently 31 patients being treated for Covid-19 at Famagusta General Hospital, which is the referral hospital for coronavirus, CNA reports.
Three of the 31 are in the increased care ward.
One patient, a woman, was last night intubated and transferred to the ICU of Nicosia Hospital.
Three pathologists, two pulmonologists, an anesthetist and a cardiologist from the the private sector have taken up duties at the hospital at the instructions of the Health Minister in line with decrees to manage the coronavirus outbreak.
Also on duty are doctors from other wards of Famagusta Hospital, again after the instructions of the Health Minister.
Seven patients who were discharged yesterday were transferred by mini bus made available by Ayia Napa Municipality to the Eden Resort Rehabilitation, Wellness, Assisted Living in Tersephanou as they have no symptoms.
They will remain there until they test negative for coronavirus.
