Larnaca district court on Wednesday handed down a 30 day jail sentence, suspended for three years, and six points on the licence of a 22 year old non-Cypriot who was caught speeding at 146 km per hour in a 50 km per hour speed limit zone.
The young man was stopped by police on Tassos Papadopoulos Avenue on Friday night and arrested. He was charged in writing and then released.
He appeared in court on Saturday where he pleaded guilty to speeding and was sentenced today.
