A 3 km stretch of the old Paphos-Limassol road near Aphrodite’s Rock will be closed to traffic from Monday, April 8 to May 31, 2019 for safety reasons because of heavy erosion of the slopes, the Public Works Department said on Friday.
It said that from Paphos the road will be closed from some 200 metres after the side road leading to the CTO pavilion at Aphrodite’s Rock. Access from Paphos to Pissouri/Limassol will be possible only on the highway and the easternmost Pissouri exit (number 40A)
From Limassol, the old road will be closed from the junction to the road leading to the Limassol-Paphos highway (exit 41A).
Access from Limassol and Pissouri to Aphrodite’s Rock will be on the highway via the westernmost Aphrodite Rock exit (42A).
