A 29 year old was arrested on Friday in connection with a botched robbery attempt at a hotel in the Paphos district in July.
A hotel employee had reported to police on July 29 that around 2.30 am an unknown man with a gun had tried to take the money from the till at the reception.
The employee was able to wrestle the gun away and the suspect fled. The gun turned out to be a fake.
The suspect was arrested late on Friday night.
