Twenty eight German tourists who were in quarantine in Turkish-held north Cyprus were flown home last night aboard a charter flight from Tymbou, the Cyprus News Agency reports.
The same plane also carried the bodies of two tourists, a 73 year old man and a 83 year old woman, who died of Covid-19, one on Wednesday the other on Sunday.
A total of 32 German tourists had been placed in two week quarantine after one of them tested positive for coronavirus. Two others have left on other airplanes.
A total of 77 people have tested positive for coronavirus in northern Cyprus which has been in near lockdown.
